296 <br />PARKING LOTS: The Green Arrow Parking Lot Corporation filed a statement of charges <br />made on a of their parking lots. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Letters were received from 1kr. and Mrs. 17jilliam Kege and Mr. Harry <br />E. Southard re a ive to traffic controls at Bronson and Lincoln Way East and Miami -,and <br />Lincoln way East respectively. The Board directed that letters be sent to them indica- <br />ting that Lincoln Way East is under the Jurisdiction of the Indiana Mate Highway Gomm.- <br />ission and that the Traffic Engineer would forward their letters to the said State <br />allighway Commission. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: An Excavation bond -in the amount of ,1,000.00 was approved <br />and ordered e or.John,J. DeGrove. <br />An application to drive a well on city property to service the air-conditioning <br />system for. Benton's new store was denied as in previous cases of this nature. No <br />private installations are allowed on public property. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Casimer.,Balka' Street 06 mzissioner, .was present and matters per <br />aining o is cepartment were discussed. <br />A -performance bond filed by the Standard Oil Company to cover their bid for road <br />oil, was approved and ordered filed by the Board. <br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain- <br />ing to His epar. ent were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjo <br />at 10:00 A-M, <br />AT <br />< S <br />Cie <br />I,-Zarch 10, 1947 <br />A <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public oVorks. was held on I.ionday, March 10, <br />�e bi <br />1947 at 8:30 A,V1.
