<br />Upon motion being duly made and seconded the following resolution was unanimously
<br />adopted: RESOLVED: The `,Walnut Road housing Project having requested the hoard of
<br />Public -forks and Safety to assume Jurisdiction over twenty-sixth, Twenty-seventh and
<br />• Twenty-ninth Streets in the above. `project, and the Board having made certain recommenda-
<br />tions as to the repair of the pavement on these streets, prior to their acceptance, and
<br />these recommendations haveing been complied with; the Board of Public 'Works and Safety
<br />upon motion made, seconded and carried; riereby.assumes, jurisdiction and maintenance
<br />of these streets, and authorizes the Engineeein€; Department to prepare a dedication
<br />1plan and enter the dedication in the records of St. Joseph County.

<br />The Board approved the Vacation Resolution of the second alley hest of Twyekenham
<br />Drive from Monroe Street to South Street and also the vacation of the alley South of
<br />Pleasant Street from Twenty-fifth Street to the east line of the alley yYest of Twenty-
<br />fifth Street. The advertising of same was held up, however, until the required amount
<br />of money has been deposited with the Clerk of the Board .for advertising the hearings.
<br />The, Board approved an assip,,mrient of contract for the installation of sewers on
<br />Tasher and Jennings Avenues and St. Joseph Street from i1hitcomb & Feller, Incorporated
<br />to Rocco Simeri. Also to extend the time of completion to.Deceriber 1, 1945.

<br />the precast concrete manhole manufactured by the LaI,:2ar Pipe and `.rile Company of Grand
<br />11ichigan. The Niles Excavating Company requested permission to use thie type
<br />!of construction on the Tasher Avenue and Jennings Avenue sewers. Permission is hereby
<br />granted to use this type of construction on the above mentioned streets and the Engineer-
<br />ging Department is instructed to notify the Contractor accordingly. This permission is no
<br />■ jto include any other sewer construction.
