202 May 21, 1945 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, May 21, 1945 at 9:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of .the last meeting were read .arid approved claims of the following suppliers in the amount of $2,865.94 were approved and ordered paid: City Water Works 6.06 The Ohio Oil Co. Mr. Miller was granted permission by the Board, to go to LaFayette, Indiana on May 24, 1945 in connection with the installation of the new traffic signal system. Mr. Miller discussed with the Board the advisability of using the upstairs rooms of the number two Fire Station for the Traffic Survey, but after discussion it was agreed that the rooms were not suitable. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Contractor's bonds in the amount of $1,000.00 each were approve for Walter W . Smith and Harry N. Barnes. These were ordered filed. CEMETERY 32= DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. STREET DEPARTMENT.* Mr. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. It was the decision of the Board to accept the bid of Korte Brothers, of Fort Wayne Indiana for One Austin-J+estern Patrol Sweeper and One Austin -Western Grader, their bid being, in the opinion of the Board, the lowest and best.
