Mr. Conboy was authorized to go to Fort Knox, Kentucky to look over army surplus trucks for the Street Department on April 17. CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. A representative of the Indiana & 11ichigan.Electric Company was present at the meeting to explain the nature of the experimental street lighting to be employed by the city in :connection with the changing of traffic controls at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard, Lincoln Way East and Carroll Streets. ENGINEERING DEPAAMIIEN'T: A petition was received asking for the vacation of the alley st of Johnson Street between Linden Avenue and Kenwood .Avenue. This was referred to the City Plan Commission for approval.
