198 This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of the vacation of Alexis Court from the West line of Columbia Street to the East line of the Alley West of Columbia Street under vacation resolution No. 2535. In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written re- monstrances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notice, and. same were Bound sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefitted and damages in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the pro- ceedings closed, and the Court vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefits assessed from the various property owners so benefited and all proceedings had with reference to said Court vacation are -hereby sustained. STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Anthony Mnudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and matters jpertaining to his department were discussed. Mr. Zmudzinski informed the .Board that he was in need of a grader and small sweeper and the Board instructed him to get specifications ready for advertising. STREET DEPARTMENT: Bids were received for repairing the broken spindles on the Jefferson Street bridge,, and the work was awarded to Herman Glaser, Jr., the Street Commissioner was requested to notify Mr. Glaser to proceed with the work immediately.
