Mr. 14iller discussed the down town traffic system with the Board and also the new type of traffic signal proposed for the down town area. All members were present. Minutes of the meeting held on March 20 were read and approved. Salary claims in the amount of $8,316.06 were approved and ordered paid. The Board authorized the purchase of four cinder spreaders from Korte Brothers, of Fort Xayne, their bid being the lowest, and in the opinion of -the Board the best bid submitted. ENGINEERING DEPfRUIENT: A contractors bond in the amount of �1,000.00 was approved for Thomas L. Hickey. Thi.z was ordered filed. A petition for the elimination of a pond between 'Kashington and 1;larshall Streets and 35th and 36th Streets,carrying 21 signatures was submitted by John McCarthy. This was referred to the Engineering Department for investigation and report.
