126 <br />MEETING-OCTOBER 25, 1243 <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMIENT: A petition was received for the construction of a local sewer <br />on West Uolfax AvenuE from the alley East of Birdsell Street to Adams Street. This <br />was referred to the Engineering Department. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTLTNT: Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and several traffi <br />problems were discussed. <br />CEMETERY DEPAR71ENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain- <br />ing to his department were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 10:00 A.M. <br />-' ]l.ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />MEETING - NOVEMBER 1, 1943 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public 'Jorks was held on Monday, November 11 194 <br />at,9:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and <br />approved. Fund or the Interceptor <br />Server Fund: <br />Edgar Anderson (Salary) $ 62.50 <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and <br />matters pertaining to his department were.discussed. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: PJIx°. O. D. Dausman.. District Plant Engineer,. of the Indiana Bell <br />"Telephone Company, appeared -before the Board and submitted plans showing the proposed <br />underground conduit and cable work on and South of East Jefferson Blvd., between St. <br />Joseph Street and Hill Street. These plans were.approved by the Board and -were ordered <br />placed on file. IaTr. Williams directed a letter to the Telephone Company informing , <br />them of this approval. <br />The.Board approved the plans and specifications for the construction of Access <br />Road Project on Chippewa Avenue from Michigan Street to the Southmore Housing Project. <br />The Clerk of the Board was authorized to advertise for bids. Bids will be received <br />up to 10.:00 A.M. November.8, 1943.and will then be opened and read. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: "Mir. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertain <br />ing to his department were discussed. <br />Mr. Miller was authorized by the Board to attend a Traffic Signal School in <br />Syracuse, New York for one week starting November 22, 1943. <br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, presented his report for the <br />month of October, 1943. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourne <br />at 10:00 A.M. <br />0 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
