30 <br />MEETING -- SEPTEMBER 22, 1941 <br />ELECTRIC DEPARTTv7ENT:. A,petition was received asking for a street light at the inter- <br />section of St. Vincent St., and Napoleon Blvd. This petition was turned over to Mr.. <br />Qualls, Electric Superintendant. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned at <br />10:30 A. M. <br />AT 7 <br />MEETING -- SEPTEMBER 29, 1941 <br />A regular meeting of <br />the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, September 29, 1941 <br />at 9:00 A.-M. All members <br />were present. Minutes <br />of the last meeting were read <br />and appro` <br />ed. Truck Rental 712.66 <br />STREET DEPARTIV;ENT: Mr. Zmudzinski presented the sweeper report for the week beginning <br />September 21, 1941. <br />Mr. Zmudzinski turned over to the Board $4.00 received for grading a lot for the <br />Northwest Trucking Co. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: A contractor's bond in the amount of $1000.00 was received for <br />John C. Benjamin, Mishawaka, Ind. This bond was approved and ordered filed. <br />An excavation bond, in the amount of $1000.00 was received for Barker &.Spromberg. <br />This bond was approved and ordered filed. <br />A letter was received from Farabaugh, Pettengill & Chapleau, Attorneys, advising <br />that the Michigan Central Railroad crossing at Angella Blvd., had been repaired and the <br />unloading of coal at Niles Avenue and Madison St.,,,,had been discontinued. <br />VACATION OF ALLEY #2509 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it <br />is desirable to vacate the following: That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />ALLEY NORTH OF B01.18TAN STREET, from Main Street to the West line of the alley East <br />f Main Street. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation: <br />is 6 and 7, Stover & 7itwer Addition, Lots A, B, & C, also 31, 32 & 33 Bowmants Additior. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the loth day of October and on the. <br />17th day of October, 1941, in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the weekly Mirror . <br />This Board at its office in the City Hall on the 3rd day of November, 1941 at 10:00 <br />A.
