Martin, berk <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 12, 2017 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:32 a.m. on September 12, <br />2017, by Board President Gary A. Gilot, with Board Members Elizabeth Maradik and Suzanna <br />Fritzberg present. Board Member Therese Dorau joined the meeting in progress at 9:38 a.m. Board <br />Member James Mueller was absent. Also present was Interim Board Attorney Catherine Fanello. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Fritzberg and carried, the Minutes of the <br />Agenda Review Session, Regular Meeting and Claims Review Meeting of the Board held on <br />August 17, 22, and 29, 2017, and September 5, 2017 were approved. <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW INTERIM BOARD OF WORKS ATTORNEY <br />Mr. Gilot introduced Attorney Catherine Fanello, informing everyone that she previously served <br />with the City as City Controller, and interim Board of Works Attorney. He noted with the transition <br />of former Board Attorney Michael Schmidt to Purchasing, she will replace him until a permanent <br />replacement is found. The Board welcomed her. <br />OPENING OF BIDS — CHARLES BLACK CENTER RENOVATIONS — PROJECT NO. 116- <br />073 (PARK BOND/RWDA TIF) <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced project. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News, which were found to be sufficient.
