JOSEPH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Dorau, seconded by Mr. Mueller and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO.24-2017 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND ACCEPTING THE ASSIGNMENT OF TAX SALE CERTIFICATES FROM THE <br />ST. JOSEPH COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Board of Public Works (the "City Board") <br />has custody of real property owned by the City of South Bend, Indiana (the "City") pursuant to <br />IC 36-9-6-3; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to IC 6-1.1-24-6 and IC 6-1.1-24-9, the St. Joseph County Board of <br />Commissioners (the "County Board") holds a tax sale certificate for each of the thirty (30) <br />parcels described in attached Exhibit A (collectively, the "Certificates"); and <br />WHEREAS, IC 6-1.1-24-9(d) provides that, subject to IC 36-1-11-8, the County Board <br />may assign the Certificates to the City Board; and <br />WHEREAS, IC 36-1-11-8 provides that the County Board's assignment of the <br />Certificates to the City Board may be made upon terms agreed upon by the County Board and <br />the City Board as evidenced by their adoption of substantially identical resolutions; and <br />WHEREAS, the County Board has adopted or is expected to adopt a resolution pursuant <br />to IC 36-1-11-8 assigning the Certificates to the City Board for no consideration; and <br />ril <br />
