Allen and Common Council E <br /> f <br /> City Hall <br /> South Bend, Indiana F <br /> Dear Mayor and Council Members: <br /> The Mayor's Advisory Committee at the request of the Mayor has in the past few <br /> weeks actively participated in preparation and review of certain sections of <br /> a document entitled Workable Program for Community Improvement. <br /> As you are aware in order to qualify the City of South Bend for financial ` <br /> assistance in certain federal programs, a Workable Program must be submitted { <br /> for recertification by the federal government each year. <br /> We particularly call your attention to the Declaration of Policy on Page 3 <br /> and the Citizens Participation Section beginning on Page 23 which the Committee <br /> actively assisted in its development. A copy of the Workable Program for Community <br /> Improvement has been delivered to you under separate cover for your review. <br /> The Mayor's Advisory Committee now respectively submits to the Mayor and Council <br /> a resolution approving the Workable Program for Community Improvement and <br /> authorizing its submission to the federal agency. The Mayor's Advisory Committee <br /> respectively recommends to the Mayor and Council that the resolution be adopted <br /> and that the Workable Program be approved.
