OBJECTIVE: To identify and establish the administrative responsibility and capacitij for carrying <br /> out overall Workable Program for Cononunity hnprovenzent activities. <br /> A. Coordination..Describe changes since the last submission in the way in which the community's over- <br /> all Workable Program is being coordinated. <br /> There has been no basic change in coordination since the last submission. <br /> Interrelation continues between the agencies and is affected by periodic <br /> meetings. One example of this is illustrated by the Mayor's monthly meet- <br /> ing consisting of all department heads involved in community improvement <br /> programs. Mutual problems are discussed with suggested solutions covering <br /> both social and physical aspects of community development. Special meet- <br /> ings are held as needed involving appropriate City departments and agen- <br /> cies for the purpose of securing advice and recommendation in solving a <br /> specific community development problem. <br /> 0 <br /> ? Describe briefly progress made during the past year in strengthening any weak spots—insufficient <br /> stall', ineffective procedures—in the community's administrative organization for carrying out the <br /> Program. <br /> ! The City Building Department added three prople to enhance the junctions of <br /> code compliance of the City Building Department. <br /> i <br /> f <br /> l <br /> } <br /> C. Based on an analysis of the community's present administrative organization and means for Pro- <br /> gram coordination, what can and will be done to improve it during the ensuing year? <br /> j. No substantial changes are anticipated at this time. The City Administra- <br /> tion is currently studying the feasibility of a planning coalition involv- <br /> ing a full range of public and semi-public agencies. , <br /> i <br /> Supplementary Material Required.
