If "No" is checked, indi- <br /> cate Nvhat steps are being taken, or could be taken, to participate in such a program. <br /> The Area Plan Commission of St. Joseph County was established under Chapter <br /> 138, Acts of 1957 , Indiana Genreal Assembly. <br /> The Area Plan Commission's membership consists of St. Joseph County, City <br /> of South Bend, and the towns of Roseland, Lakeville, North Liberty, all sit- <br /> uated in the County of St. Joseph, Indiana. <br /> G. Does the Planning Commission receive technical help in its planning activities: <br /> 1. On a consulting basis? Yes XZ No C <br /> 2. From resident staff employed to serve the Commission? Yes ix No ❑ <br /> If "Yes" is checked for either item, indicate specifically the kind of technical help provided at <br /> this time, including the number and types of technical employees. <br /> The Area Plan Commission's permanent staff consists of an Executive Dir- <br /> ector, Principal Planner, Senior Planner, Transportation Planner, and <br /> tow Planning Technicians, all positions are presently filled. <br /> Planning and economic consultants have been hired to assist the Area Plan <br /> Commission's staff in carrying out specific work items under the 701 <br /> federally assisted Land Use Transportation Study and the St. Joseph G=- <br /> ty Planning Study. <br /> H. Describe briefly plans (1) to provide or (2) to increase the present level of technical help, including <br /> the time schedule for putting such plans into effect. <br /> It is anticipated that the current level of technical staff will be adequate <br /> for the next two to three years . If additional technical assistance is re- <br /> quired during this period, consultants time will be utilized. <br /> 11 <br />
