t <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 5201-70 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTION <br /> 11-18, ORDINANCE NUMBERS 3913, 5 7, AND <br /> 4537-o2, § 3, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, PROVIDING FOR <br /> STANDARDS FOR INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL <br /> EQUIPIENT GENERALLY <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br /> SECTION I. That ordinance Numbers 3913, 9 7, and 4537, <br /> § 7, being Section 11-18 of Chapter 11 of the Municipal Code <br /> of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be, and hereby is, amended <br /> to read as follows : <br /> Standards for Installation of <br /> lectrica quipment General v <br /> All installations of electrical- equipment shall, be <br /> reasonably safe to persons and property and in conformity <br /> with the provisions of this chapter and the applicable <br /> statutes of the state. <br /> Conformity of installations of electrical equipment <br /> with this chapter and with applicable regulations set <br /> forth in the National Electrical Code of 1968 and all <br /> amendments thereafter, or electrical provisions of other <br /> safety codes which have been approved by the American <br /> Standards Association, shall be prima facie evidence <br /> that such installations are reasonably safe to persons <br /> and property. <br /> The electrical inspector shall permit trial instal- <br /> lations of new methods of installing electrical equip- <br /> ment. <br /> SECTION II.
