RESOLUTION NO . 265-71 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br /> INDIANA BELL TELEPHONE CO. , INC . , FOR THE <br /> INSTALLATION OF A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of South Bend presently has an <br /> out-dated fire alarm system which is both expensive to operate <br /> and of limited utility; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Indiana Bell Telephone Co . , Inc. has <br /> proposed to install and maintain for use by the City of South <br /> Bend a modern special emergency reporting system; and <br /> WHEREAS , in the opinion of the Council, the proposed <br /> special emergency reporting system will be both more economical <br /> to operate and more effective in protecting the City from fires ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br /> SECTION I . That the proposed contract between the <br /> City of South Bend, Indiana, and the Indiana Bell Telephone Co . , <br /> Inc. , a copy of which is attached hereto , is hereby approved. <br /> SECTION II .
