RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT <br />TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br />AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, AN APPLICATION FOR COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN14ING ASSISTANCE UNDER SECTION 701 OF THE HOUSING ACT <br />OF 1954 AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor is the Chief Executive Officer of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana; and <br />WHEREAS, the Chief Executive Officer of the Citv is required <br />to submit an application to the United States Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development for Comprehensive Planning Assistance, pursuant to <br />Section 701 of the National Housing Act of 1954 as amended; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. <br />Hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City of South <br />Bend to submit an application requesting thirty thousand dollars <br />($30,000.00) in Comprehensive Planning Assistance pursuant to Section 701 <br />of the National Housing Act of 1954 as amended from the United States <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br />SECTION II.
