RESOLUTION NO. 514 -76 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT <br />TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br />AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, AN APPLICATION FOR COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLANNING ASSISTANCE UNDER SECTION 701 OF THE HOUSING ACT <br />OF 1954 AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor is the Chief Executive Officer of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana; and <br />WHEREAS, the Chief Executive Officer of the City is re- <br />quired to submit an application to the United States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development for Comprehensive Planning Assistance, <br />pursuant to Section 701 of the National Housing Act of 1954 as amended; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. Hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City of South <br />Bend to submit an application requesting thirty thousand dollars <br />($30,000.00) in Comprehensive Planning Assistance pursuant to Section <br />701 of the National Housing Act of 1954 as amended from the United <br />States Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br />SECTION II. The Mayor shall submit to the Common Council a <br />line item budget in ordinance form prior to any expenditures of such <br />grant money received upon approval of this application. <br />SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />n er o the Common Council <br />Adopted as amended March 22, 1976 <br />
