BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( HOUSE MOVE) <br />A request from Verner Lane, Building Commissioner to move a house from <br />59788 U.S. 31 South to 4325 S. Fellow Street, South Bend. The owner of <br />the house is Paul C. Woodcok, the mover is Lewis Mitschelen. <br />The Board approved such a move after being advisfd that the owners have been <br />notified and there have been no remonstrances. The Board also <br />stipulated that said move will be permitted provided all requirements <br />are met for such a house move. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT) <br />Comes now Verner Lane and advises the Board that Ernest DeGraff,an <br />employee of the Building Department as a Residential Building Inspector, <br />will retire the first of the year of 1962. Mr. Lane further stated that <br />Mr. DeGraff had served as a loyal and efficient employee whose presence <br />will be missed. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( SUB -STANDARD DIVISION) <br />Hearing on a case involving property at 1838 N. Elmer Street was postponed <br />by the Board until a future date upon request of John Grabarz. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( TRAFFIC SIGNS) <br />Following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />Stop Signs installed on Parallel Street, both sides, at Johnson Street. <br />Yield Right -of -Way sign installed on Caroline Street, southwest <br />corner, at Hays Court. This replaced a stop sign at that location. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />A monthly report for November, 1961 from the Department of Weights & <br />Measures was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />_STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 10:45 A.M. <br />Chairman <br />C-17c�NL <br />1 <br />Attes : Anthony .- Sabo, Clerk <br />
