Altman <br />The bids will be examined and will be awarded not later than next Monday, <br />subject to specifications being met. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT - STREET LIGHTS <br />eollowing the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Superintendent of the <br />lectrical Department, the following street light installations were <br />approved: <br />Mayflower Manor Addition <br />1 - 4000 lumen light at Coleman and Sylvan Lane <br />1 - 4000 lumen light at Mynatt and -Sylvan Lane <br />1 - 4000 lunen light at Coleman and Pricilla <br />1 - 4000 lumen light at Winston and Cabot <br />Increase 1 - 1000 lunen light to a 4000 lunen light at 1308 W. Dunham St. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT - PETITION FOR STREET LIGHT <br />�+ A Petition from residents in the Columbia Street- Paris Street area was <br />referred to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation. <br />Said Petition requested a street light on Columbia Street between Wenger <br />and E. Paris Street. <br />"D TRAFFIC ENGINEER - STOP SIGNS <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations of traffic signs were approved: <br />Stop Signs installed on St. Peter Street, both sides, at Cedar St. <br />Stop Sogns installed on Huron Street, both sides, at Edison Street <br />replacing present Yield Right of Way Signs. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER - PERMISSION TO ATTEND ODURSE AT PURDUE U. <br />Comes now Clem Hazinski and requests permission to attend a course at Purdue ✓ <br />University from November 6 to November 8, 1961 presented by the Public Safety <br />Institute and School of Civil Engineering in cooperation with the Indiana <br />Section of Institute of Traffic Engineers. The New Manual On Uniform Traffic <br />Control Devices for Streets and Highways by the Bureau of Roads will be <br />utilized as a text and guide to the course presentation. <br />The Board, being advised that there is sufficient funds in the Traffic <br />Engineer's budget for such a trip, granted permission for Mr. Hazinski to <br />attend this Course. accompanied by Gregory Armstrong of the Traffic Engineering Dept. <br />RE: COLFAX HOTEL PARKING AND EXITS LETTER <br />A letter from Paul J. Schwertley, Attorney representing the tenants of the <br />Colfax Hotel, was submitted to the Board. <br />The letter calls attention to the fact that there is no loading and unloading <br />zone marked off in front of this hotel and at present the entire frontage <br />is being uadd at a taxi stand. Also, the letter advises the Board that <br />the rear entrance to the hotel is usually blocked so that ingress and <br />egress ;-As impossible. <br />After examination, the letter was referred to the Traffic Engineer for <br />investigation and report. <br />A <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT - PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE <br />Comes now the Fire Chief and requests permission to advertise for fire <br />hose. Permission granted. Advertisements will be placed on October 27, <br />NgVooer 3 and bids will be opened on November 6, 1961. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARD DIVISION <br />Bernard R. Donahue, owner of preperty located at 232 E. Sample Street submitted <br />
