(SIDEWALK PLANTERS) <br />Comes now Al McGann of McGann Securities, Inc. and 'requests permission <br />to install new sidewalks at 125 W. Colfax Avenue, which will house the <br />Al McGann Securities, Inc. for the purpose of planting othrubs and/or <br />flowers. <br />Permission given, subject to the condition that the planters do not exceed <br />the amount of space used by a tub as far as width is concerned. It is <br />also specified that insurance, indemnifying the City of South Bend in the <br />sum of $100,000 per individual injury or $3009000 aggragate and $25,000 <br />property damage, be procured. <br />The Board further directs that a back door which Mr. McGann wished to <br />install as a safety exit feature be installed in keeping with the Building <br />Code. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( D. C. JAMESEN - RE: WRECKING STRUCTURE) <br />D. C. Jamesen appeared before the Board to show cause why he is demolishing <br />a structure at 1509 S. Michigan Street without the proper Wrecking Permit <br />or insurance. Mr. Jameson who is a Wrecker was ordered by the Board to <br />obtain the necessary Wrecking Permit and insurance before proceeding with <br />the demolition of the structure referred to above. <br />TRAFFIC SIGNALS (SIGNS) <br />The Board, following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer approved <br />the following traffic signs installed: <br />Stop Signs - Olive Street, both sides, at Hamilton St. <br />Stop Signs - Bergan Street, both sides, at Olive St. <br />Stop Signs - Chicago Street, both sides, at Huron St. <br />Yield Right -of -Way Signs - Elmer Street, both sides, at Bergan St. <br />
