Governor Welch and do a.11 things necessary to help expedite said dual <br />laning ! program. <br />Also, the Mayor states that it is his desire that the Board of Public <br />Works & Safety be present to assist in these deliberations. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: SERVICE PENSION <br />Comes now Fire Chief Andrzejewski', as president of the Firemen's Pension <br />Fund, and requests the Board's approval for the monthly Service Pension <br />for Fireman Joseph Barany which has been acted upon favorably by the <br />Pension Board. <br />Said Fireman Barany has been examined by the medical examiner for the <br />Pension Board and found physically fit to perform fire service. Therefore <br />a service pension is in order. Payment of such pa-neion shall become <br />effective May 169 1961 which coincides with the applicants termination <br />of fire service. <br />This action is governer by the provisions of the pension laws; whereby <br />his tenure of service from June 162 1932 to May 161, 1961 has made the <br />applicant fully qualified to participate in,all benefits therefrom <br />pursuant to law made and provided for such purposes. <br />After examination and deliberations on the record, the Board approves <br />the action of the Pension Board as presented above. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT APPLICATION <br />An application for thd'Fire Department from Duane Richard Radzikowski <br />was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SPECIAL -POLICE APPLICATION <br />An application for Special Auxiliary School Patrol from Gaynelle Virgilene <br />Norris was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT (STREET LIGHT) <br />At the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, of the Electrical Department <br />the following installation was approved: <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light at 413 S. Meade St. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BOND <br />Bond for special police from Garwood Schroff was approved by the Board <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />OUTAGE REPORT <br />Street Light Outage Report was examined and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT (SUB -STANDARD DIVISION) <br />Comes now Miss Pearl Danr, owner of two dwellings located at 513 and 515 <br />E. Pennsylvania Avenue at the request of the Sub -Standard Division of.the <br />Building Department and the Board to show cause why her property which <br />is vacant and sub -standard has not been brought up to standard in acoordance <br />with the request of the Building Department. <br />Miss Darr contended that she had been unable to secure the services of a <br />contractor to do the necessary repairs and that she did not have sufficient <br />money for extensive repairs. <br />After hearing Miss Darr, it was the decision of the Board that John Grabarz <br />meet with Miss Darr and assist Miss Dari-and contractor. After a contractor <br />had been contacted by Miss Darr, Mr. Grabarz was directed to meet with the <br />contractor Miss Darr chooses and advise said contractor and Miss Darr what <br />repairs are necessary to bring property up to standard. This meeting shall <br />occur within ten days of this date. <br />
