May 89 1961 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, May 81, <br />1961 at 10:00 A.M. DST. All members were present. Minutes of the last <br />regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were ordered paid to the <br />various suppliers. <br />OPENING OF BIDS ( POLICE CAR) <br />The time now being after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and bids for the <br />purchase of a Sedan for the Police Department were opened and read aloud. <br />Proofs of Publication from The South Bend Tribune with affidavit signed <br />by Robert DeLong and The Record with affidavit signed by Walter Clements <br />were found sufficient. Altman <br />After examination of the above proposals, it was the decision of the Board <br />that the bid be awarded to Freeman -Spicer Co., Inc., since this appeared <br />to be the lowest bid, provided said proposal meets specifications. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS (POLICE CARS) <br />Comes now Police Chief Dutrieux and requests permission to advertise for <br />six Sedans for use of the Police Depzrtment. <br />The Board, having been advised that there is sufficient money in the budget <br />for such purchases, authorizes the Clerk to -place advertisements in The <br />South Bend Tribune and The Record on May 12, and May 19. Bids will be <br />opened on Monday, May 22, 1961 at 10:00 A.M. DST. <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS - FIRE STATION NO. 13 <br />PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS <br />Comes now Callis Miller, Architect, with Plans and Specifications for the <br />remodeling of Fire I£ation No. 13. Said Plans were approved, subject to changes <br />`to:be-made°by',Mi..C.Miller at the recommendation of the Board. <br />The Clerk of the Board was directed to advertise for bids in connection with <br />the following work to be done in the remodeling of Fire Station No. 13: <br />1. Architectural Trades <br />2. Heating and T-emperature Control; Plumbing and Drainage <br />3. Electrical Wiring and Fixtures. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
