1. The second floor apartment should be vacated. (The Sub -standard <br />Dovision has arbitrarily decided on a vacation date of next <br />rental payment). Said apartment shall remain vacated. <br />2. Immediate action be taken to correct hazardous condition <br />.of all chimneys on the exterior of the building. <br />3. 'This agreement shall be in force for a period not to exceed <br />one year and more specifically and arbitrarily May 1$ 1962. <br />Captain_Downs,cFite: Inspector also appeared and wished to go on record <br />that the upstairs apartment must be vacated permanently. <br />Comes now John Grabarz of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building <br />Department, with reference to property located at 414 Melkus Court, <br />and requests permission to advertise for bids to have property demolished. <br />Mr. Grabarz advised the Board that this property has been turned over to <br />the Department of Public Welfare and was directed by the Board to notify <br />this department of the intention to demolish said structure. Case was <br />continued for one week, or until May 12 1961 .for this purpose of notification. <br />ems^! <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - RE: REQUEST FOR PLANTER AT WRIGHT'S RESTALRANr <br />Comes now Mr. Schopmeyer, contractor, and requests permission of the Board <br />er <br />OD to erect.a.planter which would extend over part of a public sidewalk <br />at property known as VVright's Restaurant at 415 N. Michigan Street. <br />This matter was referred to Mr. Vern Lane, Building Commission, for his <br />investigation'and report.
