This installation <br />as the result of a petition to the attention of Councilman Tellson. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT ( STOP SIGNS <br />The following stop signs were approved installed at the recommendation of <br />the Traffic Engineer: <br />Stop sign installed on Kenmore St., northwest corner at Sample <br />Stop sign installed on Dundee Str, northwest corner at Sample. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REQUEST (ATTEND AIRBORNE TRAINING) <br />Permission was granted Detective Sergeant Russell L. Hunt to attend <br />Airborne Training at Fort Benning, Georgia from March 25m to April 23, <br />1961 at his own expense. Sgt. Hunt will take his vacation and accumulated <br />time for this period of duty. <br />SPECIAL POLICE <br />Appbintmant of Joseph Sipocz as Special Police Officer was approved by <br />the Board. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BOND <br />Special Policeman's Bond for Albert A. Vascil was approved by the Board <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE AUXILIARY SCHOOL PATROL APPLICATION <br />Application of Ramona Jo -Ann Wilbur as Police Auxiliary School Patrol was <br />accepted by the Board and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DFPART VENT REPORT <br />A Report for the month of January, 1961 from the Police Department was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT ( RETIREMENr) <br />Comes now Fire Chief Ahdrzejewski as President of the Firemen's Pension <br />Fund and recommends that Battali6n.Chief in Charge of Inspection Edward <br />D. Smith be placed on retirement. Said disability retirement has been <br />approved by the Pension Fund Trustees after recommendation by Dr. R. W. <br />Spenner. Said Chief Smith's monthly allotment will be pursuant to law <br />made and provided for the disability retirement phase of the Pension <br />Fund. <br />The Board, after examination, approves such retirement under the provisions <br />set up by the Pension Fund Trustees and said retirement shall become <br />effective April 1, 1961. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
