ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT (STREET LIGHT <br />Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Superintendent of the <br />Electrical Department, the Board approved the installation of a <br />4 000 lumen street light in the 900 Block of North Hill St. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />A Street Light Outage Report was examined by the Board and ordered placed <br />on file. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT RETIREMENT <br />Police Officer John F. Ranschaert submits a letter advising the Board <br />that as of February 24, 1961 he will have completed 20 years service <br />and requests permission to retire on March 169 1961 after terminal leave <br />from March 11 1961 to March 159 1961. <br />Said proposal, having been approved by Chief Dutrleux, is granted by the <br />Board under the terms set forth above. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARD DIVISION <br />Comes now Verner Lane, Building Commissioner, wit.h;rbference to property <br />located at 217.-2172 S. Walnut Street. In connection with the demolition <br />of this property, Mr. Lane advised the Board that two bids were received, <br />neither of which wer6 legal and requests permission to readvertise. <br />Permission granted and case continued. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT FINANCIAL REPORT <br />The Annual Financial Report for 1960 for the Building Department was <br />presented to the Board, examined, accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARD DIVISION (DISMISSAL OF SUIT) <br />A copy of a dismissal of a law snit filed in Staperior Court No. 1 by <br />Rev. Bowles as Plaintiff against the City of South Bend was submitted <br />to the Board, accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 10:50 A.M. <br />test: Irhony J.
