Mr. Gaabarz reported to the Board that a Certified letter had been sent <br />to Mr. Edward Dobbs requesting that he appear before the Board. It nav <br />appears that Mr. Dobbs has been reported missing by the Police Department. <br />Case continued until November 79 1960. <br />REQUEST - BARRICADE'ALLEY (W. COLFAX AVENUE <br />Comes now Harold G. Reinke, representing Carl J. Reinke & Sons, Inc. and <br />requests permission of the Board to barricade a portion of an alley running <br />north and south, starting at a point on the north side of building and <br />running back south, a distance of 75 feet, between Michigan and Main Streets <br />on Colfax Avenue for a period of 60 days, beginning October 3, 1960 in <br />order to repair fire lose to building at 116-120 W. Colfax Avenue. Permission <br />granted. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT - STREET LIGHTS <br />The following installations ,for 4000 lumen street lights were approved and <br />ordered installed: <br />Eastaate Addition <br />1. Bryan and Crestwodd <br />'! 2. Hepler " <br />3. Hepler and Hass Drive <br />4. Rose and Gordan Drive <br />5. Ketterling and Vernerlee <br />6. Ketterling and Arcadia <br />A petition from Louis Rappell and others for the installation of a street <br />light on North St. Peter Street was referred to the Electrical Department <br />for examination and recommendation. <br />1 <br />Special Police Bond for Allen E. Kester was approved by the Board and ordered <br />placed on file. <br />The following applications for the Police Department were accepted and <br />ordered placed on file: Clifford A. Johnson, Edward J. Wawrzyniak, <br />William L. Schlarb. <br />Appointment of Richard Warren Warner, 737 Blaine Avenue, South Bend, Indiana <br />as a Special Police Officer was approved. <br />An application from Charles 0. Heritz, for the Fire Department was accepted <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />Street Light Outage Reports were examined and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 11:00 A.M. <br />az�- — — &- <br />Attest: Antho .
