C.S.T. to show cause why demolition <br />proceedings should not be carried out. <br />A monthly report from the Division of Weights and Measures was examined by <br />the 'Board and ordered placed on file. <br />Street Light Outage Report was examined and ordered placed on file. <br />The following applications for the Fire Department were accepted and ordered <br />placed on file: Lorenzo Hill, Robert E. Cornelis, Dennis M. Tubbs, James <br />P. Makielski, Richard Orlowski. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 11:30 A.M. <br />Attest: Antho Sabo, Clerk <br />September 26, 1960 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, September <br />261, 1960 at 9:00 A.M. CST. All members were present. Minutes of the previous <br />regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered <br />paid to the various suppliers. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - HOUSE MOVE <br />Comes now Vernon Lane and requests permission for moving a dwelling from 2318 <br />S. Michigan Street to 218 E. Altgeld Street. The Board approved the move of <br />this dwelling from the Michigan Street address to 921 E. Fairview at the <br />meeting of September 19, 1960 and set up the requirements to be followed to <br />conform to the Building Code. Since the house will now be moved to another <br />location, the Board directs that the same requirements be met since this new <br />address is also an "A" residential area.' Remonstrators appeared before the <br />Board with questions concerning this proposed move. <br />Their objections were overcome by the requirements set up by the Building <br />Department. The Board further specified that the mover must file insurance <br />indemnifying the residents in the area in case of damage. The mover, Lewis <br />Mitschelen, also appeared before,the Board and assured the Board that a licensed <br />tree trimmer is employed by him so that any trees that must be trimmed will <br />be trimmed and balanced to the best of his ability. .The move is permitted, <br />upon the stipulation that all requirements as set up by the Building Department <br />and the Board be met. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - AWARDING OF BIDS <br />Comes now Vernon Lane, Building Department Commissioner and advises the Board <br />that as a result of advertising for bids for demolition of property the B & 0 <br />Wrecking Company had submitted the following bids for the following locations: <br />805 S. Bendix Drive <br />Without Salvage $325.00 <br />With Salvage 200.00 <br />730 S. Carlisle St. <br />Without Salvage $375.00 <br />With Salvage 275.00 <br />The owners will decide whether to include salvage. The Board, having been <br />advised by Mr. Lane, that the above bids are fair and in order, directs that <br />
