City of South Bend, IN ASL bid due March 14, 2017 <br />Bid Contract "Spec D —One (1) More or Less, 2016 or Newer, 28 Cubic Yard Single <br />Arm, Side Loading Refuse Trucks" <br />McNeilus Deviations Clarification List <br />Below are the items where MCNeilus deviates from the specification <br />Item D Specifications <br />We are bidding a 31 cubic yard body in lieu of a 28 cubic yard body. The <br />chassis will be a 2018 model year in lieu of 2016 model year. <br />Chassis <br />Chassis will have tow pins in lieu of tow hooks. The unit will not have <br />provisions for a front engine PTO. <br />Exhaust <br />Unit does not require a rain cap and will have a side mounted exhaust <br />diffuser. <br />Electrical <br />Unit will have 3 12V batteries with 2,280 CC in lieu of requested 2 battery <br />setup. Battery shutoff will be located at battery box and not in cab. Jump <br />start terminals will be mounted at battery box <br />Frame <br />Frame will not be extended 24" as it is not necessary for the pump <br />configuration we are supplying. Frame will have the appropriate amount <br />of frame necessary to mount our body and not necessarily 100" as <br />requested. <br />Page I of 3 <br />
