RESOLUTION NO. & q6 - i $ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE <br />OF $5,500.00 BY THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />FOR AN AUDIT OF THE 1976 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT PROGRAM AND INNOVATIVE PROJECT PROGRAM "PROJECT <br />REBATE." <br />WHEREAS, the Division of Community Development is required to <br />receive authorization from the Common Council prior to entering into any <br />contractual arrangement exceeding an expenditure of $5,000.00; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 24, Part 570 of the Code of Federal <br />Regulations, the Division of Community Development is required to undertake <br />an audit of its financial management system not less frequently than once <br />every two years; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Division of Community Development has negotiated to <br />contract with the independent accounting firm of Coopers 4 Lybrand to <br />conduct the required audit at the cost of $5,500.00. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />SECTION I.
