<br />Attorney Schmidt noted Y&S submitted two (2) bids, one for the standard fourteen (14) items
<br />and one with an additional item. Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Mr. Mueller
<br />and carried, the above bids were referred to Community Investment, Engineering, and Legal for
<br />review and recommendation.

<br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced project.
<br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication. of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-
<br />County News, which were found to be sufficient. The following bid was opened and publicly
<br />read:

<br />Ten percent (10%) Bid Bond was submitted.
<br />BID: $95.00 per truck/per hour
<br />-- Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Mr. Mueller and carried, the above bid was
<br />referred to Wastewater for review, and recommendation. After reviewing the bid, Mr. Jacob
<br />Klosinski, Wastewater, recommended that the Board award the contract to the sole low
<br />responsive and responsible bidder, Trucks'R Us, Inc., in the amount of $95 per hour, per truck.
<br />He noted Trucks'R Us included a 10% bid bond, but the specs called for a bid bond in the
<br />amount of $5,000. He stated 10% of their total bid would be more than $5,000, so that was
<br />acceptable. 'Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br />bid be awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion,
<br />which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — FIVE -THOUSAND (5 000) MORE OR LESS UNIVERSAL NESTABLE
<br />REFUSE CONTAINERS - SPEC A (2017 SOLID WASTE CAPFTAL LEASE PRINCIPAL &
<br />INTERESTI
<br />Mr. Matt Chlebowski, Central Services, advised the Board that on January 10, 2017, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Chlebowski recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Pyramid Equipment, Inc., 211 S Prairie, Rolling Prairie, IN 46371, in unit
<br />prices not to exceed the amount of $243,625. Therefore; Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Mueller seconded
<br />the motion, which carried.
