The time now being after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and the Bids for <br />the South -Bend Police Department were opened. Proofs of publication with <br />an affidavit signed by C. G. Livengood of the South Bend Tribune and proofs <br />of publication with an affidavit signed by W. DeCanio were submitted to the <br />Board and found sufficient. The single bid received reads as follows: <br />Freeman Spicer Company <br />520 S. Lafayette Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />A non -collusion affidavit and <br />a certified check in the amount <br />of $575.00 accompanied the bid. <br />=Three (3) 1958 BW4 Studebaker Commander Deluxe <br />4-door sedans <br />Total bid price and net difference for <br />3 units <br />---------------------$5741.10 <br />The above named bid being the bnly bid received and after thorough investi- <br />gation and checking, the bid will now be awarded to Freeman Spicer inasmuch <br />as it meets with all requirements as -:called for in the specifications. <br />Hartman Builders, Inc. now submits to the Board three (3) petitions for the <br />improvement of Woodbine Way from Ardmore Trail to Brentwood Drive; Sheridan <br />Avenue from Brentwood to St. Johns Way; and St. Johns Way from Sheridan Avenue <br />to Ryer Street by the construction of street lighting as requested by said Hart- <br />man Builders, Inc.
