SPECIAL POLICE BOND ( SHIED ) <br />A renewal of a Special Police Band for James Shields was approved and <br />ordered placed on file. <br />FIC ENGINEER INSTAL TIONS TRAFFIC SIG S <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />following installations were approved: <br />Changed 2 Hour signs to 1 Hour at 706 S. Lafayette <br />30 Minute Time"Limit signs in front of 1801 Linden Ave. <br />COTA.'LAINT • VENDORS PARKIN W. BRONSON ST <br />Mrs. Paulus who operates a canteen, appeared before the Board to attempt <br />to get relief from a parking problem at 222 W. Bronson Street. <br />Mrs. Paulus advised the Board that she had been parking in front of <br />this address for over 20 years in order to serve coffee and light <br />refreshments to office workers in this area and that her competitor, <br />Maroni Bros. Catering Service who operate a large truck had been parking <br />their vehicle in the space that she has been using daily during the <br />week from approximately-7:00 A.M. to noon. <br />Captain Bussert also appeared before the Board and advised the Board <br />that because of a truck dock across the street from the Monroe Street <br />address of 222, there is a severe traffic problem because of the truck <br />dock and the parked canteen cars. He requested that traffic signs be <br />installed so that the Police can enforce the No Parking regulation so <br />that through vehicular traffic can proceed on Monroe Street. <br />After hearing all Who wished to be heard, it was the decision of the <br />Board to take this problem under advisement in an attempt to give <br />relief to those concerned. <br />PEXITIMS: STREET -LIGHTS <br />A Petition for a street light in the 300 block of Wakewa to relieve <br />the very dark condition of this street was submitted to the Board <br />by Councilman John L. Hunter, Jr. <br />The Petition was referred to the Electrical Department for investigation <br />and recommendation. <br />Al Nall also petitioned for a street light at Fairfax and Miami. This <br />request was submitted by Mr. Taylor, City Engineer. <br />This request was also referred to the Electrical Department for invest-i- <br />gation and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAA E REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 10.55 A.M, <br />Attest: Richard J.
