November 2, 1964 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />November 2, 1964 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes <br />of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were <br />approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />OPENING AND AWARDING OF BIDS• POLICE DEPARn ENT (1 SEDAN <br />The time now be after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and sealed <br />bids for one four door sedan for use of the Police Department were <br />opened and read aloud. Proofs of Publication from the South Bend <br />Tribune with affidavit signed by Robert DeLong and the Tri-County <br />News with affidavit signed by Alfred W, Snyder II were found <br />sufficient. <br />The following bids were received: <br />Nye-E_ ton Motor Co.. Welter <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit signed by William Welter, Pres. <br />It appearing that the bid of Nye -Fulton Motor Co., Inc. is the lowest <br />and best bid, it is so awarded subject to checking of specifications <br />and the budget. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER TRAFFIC INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />2 Hour Time Limit signs installed to cover 2024 and 2018 Western <br />Stop Sign installed on southwest corner of intersecting alley <br />behind 738 S. Michigan Street. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: BARRICADE SOUTH SIDE OF LASALLE PARK <br />Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, submitted a letter from Ralph Newman, <br />Park Department Superintendent, advising that at the request of citizens <br />of the community of LaSalle Park the entire south side of LaSalle <br />Park is now being barricaded restricting all automobile traffic through <br />the park. <br />The following streets and alleys will dead end at the park and, it was <br />the thought of Mr. Newman ---that the Traffic Engineer should erect the <br />
