TRAFFIC ENGINEER: TRAFFIC SIGNS Following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following installations were approved: No Parking signs installed on both sides of Elwood Avenue from Portage Ave. to Wilbur St. and on south side of Elwood from Wilbur to Olive Street. Stop sign installed on Webster Street, both sides, at Grace Street. Stop sign installed on Esther Street, southeast corner, at Mishawaka Ave. Stop sign installed on Hildreth Street, southwest corner, at Greenlawn Ave. No Parking installed on Hildreth Street, south side, betwen Greenlawn and lst alley west. No Parking sign installed on Olive Street, west side, from Lincoinway West to Elwood Avenue. PERMISSION TO ATTEND MEETING ( TRAFFIC ENGINEER ) Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, was granted permission to attend a meeting of Traffic Engineers in Indianapolis on July 23, 1964. REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHTING TWO SUB -DIVISIONS ( FAIRFAX ESTATES AND IRELAND HEIGHTS ) A letter from Albert E. Nall and Associates, Inc. requesting street lighting in two sub -divisions to be called Fairfax Estates and Ireland Heights was submitted to the Board, accepted and ordered placed on file. Mr. Eugene Radecki, Superintendent of the Electrical Dela rtment will be informed of this request, in accordance with the Board's orders. STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS APPROVED The following street light installations, having been recommended favorably by the Electrical Superintendent, were approved by the Board: 1. Petition for street light at Bertrand Street - 1 4000 lumen light installed. 2. Petition for street lights at Monroe Street at alley on Pole J 254, appooximately 50 feet from Monroe and Fellows St. intersection. 3. 1 - 4000 lumen street light at 3737 Curtiss Drive. 4. Remove one 1,000 lumen street light and install one 4000 lumen light at northwest corner of Curtiss Drive, No. PETITIONS: STREET LIGHTS (COUNCILMAN SZYMKOWIAK ) The following Petitions for street lights were referred to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation: 1. Petition to insta111 a street light on North Elmer Street between 800 and 900 block. 2. Petition to installea streetlight between 2200 and 2300 W. Smith Street. 3. Petition to install a street light at corner of Olive and Prast. The above Petitions were submitted by Councilman Szymkowiak, 2nd District.
