June 29, 1964 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />June-29, 1964 at 10:00 A.M. Messrs. R. J. DuComb and James A. Bickel <br />were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. <br />No vouchers were approved for payment. <br />HEARING: CHARGES OF VIOLATIONS OF RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE FIRE <br />With reference to -a hearing scheduled for 9:00 A.M. this date in City <br />Hall for the purpose of determining the validity of charges of violations <br />against the Rules and Regulations of the Fire Department, this hearing <br />was continued August 10, 1964. <br />HOUSE MOVE: DEP ELMER S ) <br />Comes now Mr. Forrest West, Building Department Commissioner, with <br />a request to move a house from 1015 N. Olive Street to 1364 N.-Elmer <br />Street. <br />Mr. West advised the Board that George Bernath is the owner and Irving <br />Worden is the mover and that notices of proposed house move had been <br />delivered to the following: <br />Louis Toth, 2210 W. Elwood <br />Erwin R. Zbieranski, 2206 W. Elwood <br />Mel E. Heitger, 1402 N. Elmer <br />Noel B. Strahla, 1348 N. Elmer <br />Mrs. Rosemary Harris, 1347 N. Elmer <br />John J. Redling, Jr., 1344 N. Elmer <br />Mrs. Agnes Fekete, 1342 N. Elmer <br />Two of above moved. New tenants listed: <br />Bovy, 2210 W; Elwood <br />Beverly Nowastowski, 1402 N. Elmer <br />Mrs. Noel Strahla, 1348 N. Elmer appeared with other residents of the <br />area to remonstrate against said move. Mrs. Strahla acted as spokesman <br />for the group. <br />The residents are apposed to the move because of the following reasons: <br />1. If the house is moved to this property, it would be impossible to <br />widen Elwood Avenue. <br />2. In the event of Elwood widening the house would not comform to <br />side yard requirements. <br />Neither Mr. Bernath nor Mr. Worden were present at the hearing. <br />After hearing all who wished to be heard and after examining sketch of <br />area involved, the request to move this dwelling to the N. Elmer Street <br />address was denied. <br />SST STANDARD DIVISION ( HEARINGS ) <br />Comes now John Grabarz of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building <br />Department, with reference to property located at 138 Falcon Street, <br />owned by Rev. Bowles. <br />Mr. Grabarz informed the Board that Rev. Bowles had not complied with <br />
