The following residents of this:- _area.:- appeared before the Board to <br />remonstrate against such a house move: <br />Mr. Theodore Wilcox 1244 Fremont <br />Mr. Oliver Carey, 1301 N. Olive St. - also representing Mrs. B. M.aricall <br />N. Olive Street <br />Mr. Andrew Bogovich, 1310 N. Olive Street. <br />Mr. Carey objected to the meeting being held at 10:00 A.M. when it is <br />difficult for residents to appear. He also wished to be assured that <br />tenants would be desirable tenants. <br />Mr. Carey was advised by the Board that the Board meetings were set at <br />10:,00 A.M. according to law. He was also advised that the Board had no <br />authority to dictate to the owner of property who the tenants could be. <br />Mr. Wilcox was concerned as to who would be the tenants. <br />Mr. Bogovich objected to the house move because it was tftoo bigot. <br />Mr. George Bernath was present and advised the Board that he intended to <br />clean up the house and that it will be an asset to the neighborhood. <br />After hearing all who wished to be heard, and after being advised by the <br />Building Department that the house to be moved conforms to the regulations <br />of the Building Code and that all other regulations are being followed, <br />the move was approved. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT STANDARD DIVISION ( WTgnMDAWAL OF BiD & READVERTISF ) <br />The S1303-Standard Division of the Building Department submitted the following <br />to the Board. - <br />I, Ronald Lafferty, wish to withdraw my bid for demolition of the <br />property located at 321 S. Kentucky Street in the City of South Bend, <br />for reason that Iam not capable of fulfilling a contract within <br />the amount of time specified by the Building Commissioner. <br />(S) Ronald Lafferty <br />Witness: (S) Betty Burch <br />(S) Ruth Baumgartner <br />The Board directed that the notice for demolition of the above described <br />property be re -advertised. <br />SUB -STANDARD DIVISION: HEARING <br />Comes now Mr. Charles Sandor of the Sub -Standard Division to inform the Board <br />that Mr. Ivory Kurtz, owner of property located at 1511 Listen Street had <br />submitted an unsigned contract with Charles Stafford, contractor, to bring <br />property up to standard. <br />The Board requested that Mr. Kurtz appear before the Board on June 1, 1964 <br />with a signed contract for such repair and also to submit a completion <br />date for such work. <br />AWARDING BID: WEIGHTS & MEASURES DEPARTMENT( STATION WAGON ) <br />It appearing that the bid submitted by the following was the lowest and <br />best bid for the station wagon for the Weights & Measures Department, <br />the Board now awards the bid as follows: <br />
