340 <br />PERMISSION TO ATTEND WORKSHOP ( FIRE DEPARTMENT - LEDERER ) <br />Upon the recommendation of Fire Chief McHenry, permission was <br />granted Lt. Carl Lederer to attend the Radiological Monitor <br />Instructor Workshop on April to 8, 1964 in Battle Creek, Michigan. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT: HOUSE MOVE <br />Comes now Forrest R. West, Building Commissioner, and requests <br />permission to move a house from 945 Louise Street to 321 S. <br />Notre Dame Avenue. <br />Mr. West submitted copies of letters to property owners interested <br />in such move, advising them of the proposed move and inviting them <br />to attend this hearing to present their views or pertinent facts <br />in connection with the proposed move. <br />Mr. West also informed the Board that zoning had been complied with <br />and check had also made made by the Fire Department. <br />Mr. Vurpillat is the owner of the building to be moved. <br />Since no remonstrators appeared and since all provisions with <br />respect to house moves appear to have been complied with, the <br />proposed move was approved. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT: SUBSTANDARD DIVISION ( HEARINGS ) <br />Comes now John Grabarz, of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building <br />Department, with reference to property located at 1030 Talbot Street. <br />Also present was Mr. Ramsey, a realtor with Associated Real Estate <br />Company-; which concern is attempting to sell this property which is <br />part of an estate. <br />Mr. Ramsey requested a continuance of 60 days to allow time to sell <br />property and/or repair. <br />After hearing Mr. Ramsey, the Board ruled that an extension of 60 <br />days will be granted; that the last 15 days will be allowed for <br />repair of the property. If the property is sold, it will be fully <br />understood that repairs must be made before the expiration of the <br />60 day period. If this is not done, property will be demolished. <br />Comes now Mrs. Barbara Fulce, niece of Mrs. Carrie Ford, owner of <br />property located at 1610 Longley with a progress report on this <br />subject. <br />Mrs. Fulce advised the Board that Mrs. Ford who is very elderly, <br />refuses to sell property at a fair price. Mrs. Fulce also advised <br />the Board that she had retained an attorney, Mr. Edward Mincaeski, <br />but Mrs. Ford refused to accept advise of counsel concerning this <br />property. <br />After hearing all who wished to be heard, the Board ruled that this <br />hearing be continued for two weeks in an attempt to work out an <br />agreement with Mrs. Ford for the disposition of this property. <br />If agreement is -not reached',; demolition will be ordered. <br />BIDS• DEMOLITION <br />Comes now John Grabarz and submits two bids to the Board for the <br />demolition of property located at 123 S. Illinois Street, owned <br />by Mrs. Adella young but now a Purchased by Auditor property. <br />Bill Torok -.-Trucking Service $250.00 and retain salvage <br />54195 N.
