March 16, 1964 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />March 16, 1964 at 10:00 A.M. Messrs. R. S. Andrysiak-and-James A. <br />Bickel were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read <br />and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various <br />suppliers. <br />PETITIONS: STREET LIGHTS ( ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ) <br />The following Petitions requesting the installation of street lights <br />were examined by the Board and referred to the Electrical Department <br />for investigation and recommendation: <br />1. A Petition from residents of Peachtree Lane for installation of <br />a street light at the west end of Peachtree Lane at the Circle. <br />2. A Petition from Mrs. C. J. Vargo and others in the area for the <br />g <br />installation of a street light in the 2200 block of North Elmer <br />?j _ <br />Street between Pershing Street and Lathrop Road. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER TRAFFIC SIGNS ) <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />following installations were approved: <br />No Parking signs installed on north side of South Street from Prairie <br />to Scott Streets. <br />No Parking signs installed on south side of 100 E. Bowman Street, from <br />alley to first drive west of alley. <br />Time limit signs installed at 2920 Western avenue. <br />Time limit signs installed at 435 S. Eddy Street. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT:- HOUSE MOVES, - <br />Comes now Forrest R. West, Building Commissioner, and requests the <br />Board's permission to move two houses, as follows: <br />1. From 533 S. Eddy Street to 221 S. Logan Street <br />2. From 543 S. Eddy Street to 337 S. Logan Street. <br />The owner and mover of both houses is J. Mitschelen. <br />Mr. West informed the Board that the property owner in the block had <br />been notified and a signed copy of notification has been received by <br />the Building Department. <br />Since no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were <br />received by the Board, the house moves were approved. <br />ATTEND SCHOOL ( BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br />Forrest R. West, Building Commissioner, requested permission of the <br />Board to send the following employees to the Annual School of the <br />Indiana Inspectors' Association, at Purdue University, on April 6 <br />and 7, 1964: <br />
