9; 1 '.J PETITION: STREET LIGHT ( ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ) A Petition from residents of the 900 block of S. Logan Street for installation of a street light on Logan Street between Mishawaka Avenue and Vine Street was submitted to the Board. The Petition was referred to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE: ( HEALTH CERTIFICATES ) Mr. Stephen Molnar, representing the Health Department was present at the meeting. The.Board requested Mr. Molnar to request that Dr. Howe of the Board of Health advising the procedure now being followed with reference to food handlers and restaurant employees in lieu of a physical examination. BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( HEARINGS ) Comes now John Grabarz, of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building Department, and informs the Board that Mary and Michael Medich, owners of property located at 716 E. Ohio Street had been requested to appear before the Board on this date to show cause why demolition orders had not been carried out. The Building is now vacant. Mr. Medi.ch!s,'`sonuappeared:;for:.his father -and requested additional time. - After hearing Mr. Grabarz, it was the decision of the Board that the hearing be continued until March 23, 1964. If structure is now up to standard by that date it will be demolished. However, it was Mr. Medich's opinion that he could accomplish the demolishment by March 23. Mr. Grabarz submitted a letter from August Ranschaert, owner of property located at 128 N. Adams Street in which Mr. Ranschaert states that he is financially unable to comply with demolition order issued by the Sub -Standard Division. He therefore requests that the City utilize its means to demolish the dwelling and garage Mr. Grabarz was directed to advertise for bids for demolition. BUILDING DEPARTMENT: HOUSE MOVE Comes now Mr. Forrest West, Building Commissioner, and requests permission to move a house from 921 Lincoln Way East to 229 S. Logan Street. In order that residents in the area be advised of the proposed house. move, the matter was continued for one week and the Building Department Commissioner advised to address letters to residents and submit to the Board for filing. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 A.M. .rma n
