A list of repairs and replacements necessary to bring property up to meet Code requirements was presented to the Board by Mr. John Grabarz. Upon questioning, it was learned that there are eight children and one adult living in the basement of this house and that the faulty equipment is a hazard and must be repaired forthwith. It was further learned that Mr. Townsend owns a vacant house located at 129 N. Wellington which also is in need of substantial repair and replacement. After hearing all who wished to be heard, the.*Board directed that Mr. Townsend either sell the vacant house at 129 N. Wellington and use the funds to repair the house in which he is living or make some arrangements so that the necessary repairs may be made. Hearing continued until March 2, 1965 at which time Mr. Townsend must show that he has made some progress in bringing house up to standard. With reference to property located at 107 N. Carlisle Street, which property has been condemned, comes now Mr. Leonard Smith, brother of Mrs. Ellen Smith, one of the owners of the property. Other owners are Lois and William McKee. Comes also Mrs.Thomas Brinson who advised the Board that she would like to buy the subject property and make necessary repairs to bring said property up to standard. After hearing all who wished to be heard, the Board requested that Mrs. Brinson bring in estimate to bring property up to standard and to bring in the person who is willing to do this work at the February 3rd meeting of the Board, at which time a ruling will be made by the Board. A letter from Mr. John L. Warrick, attorney, representing the Estate of Jennie Snyder, deceased, with reference to property located at 1028 N. Hill Street, was submitted to the Board. Mr. Warrick advised the Board that Mr. John Grabarz had requested that subject property be demolished within 30 days or by February 81 1964. Mr. Warrick further advised that Mr. Alfred W. Snyder, son of the deceased, is the Administrator of her Estate which is now pending in St. Joseph Probate Court. He requested a continuance of 90 days in order to determine whether the property can be sold to satisfy claims.
