�9 <br />January 22, 1964 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />January 20, 1964 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of <br />the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were <br />approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( LOADING ZONE - MIAMI - BRINKS TRUCKS ) <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, Loading <br />Zone signs with parking prohibited time limit from 4 to 6 P.M. daily <br />were approved for installation in front of 2115 S. Miami Street. This <br />will provide a loading and unloading for Brinks Express Trucks. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER - OLIVE AND _SAMPLE STREET RAILROAD CROSSINGS <br />A complaint from a resident, Mr. Hall, to the Board that the railroad <br />crossings at Sample and Olive Streets are in bad condition was referred <br />° <br />to Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, for investigation and report. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT - PROMOTION ( J. PECZKOWSKI ) <br />Following the recommendation of the Chief of Police the'Board hereby <br />approves the promotion of Patrolman John Peczkowski to the rank of <br />Detective Sergeant, reporting to Inspector J. Horvath for assignment. <br />The promotion is effective January 20, 1964. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT - RETIREMENT ( W. M. CHOLASINSKI ) <br />Comes now Police Officer William M. Cholasinski, and requests that his <br />application for retirement from the police Force be approved by the <br />Board. Officer Cholasinski has been on the Police Force since August 22 <br />1927. <br />Request approved and retirement will become effective as of February 7 <br />1964. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT ( JACKET APPROVED )' <br />A letter from the Police Lodge Uniform Committee Secretary, together-. <br />with a description of a new type nylon jacket which had been approved <br />by the Police Chief and also by Mayor Lloyd Allen was unanimously <br />approved by the Committee to compliment the uniform apparel and not to <br />replace any item of the presently approved uniform. <br />Following the above recommendations, the Board now approves the new type <br />Jacket for the Police Department. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: APPLICATION <br />An application from Dean Russell Jester for the Police Department was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS ( SHELLEY, GRIMMIUS <br />Special Police Commissions for Dale Edward Shelley presently employed by <br />the Electrical Inspection Department and Donald F. Grimmius, presently <br />employed by the Sub -Standard Division of the Building Department were <br />approved and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE AUX. SCHOOL PATROL APPLICATION <br />An application for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol, submitted by Mrs. <br />Loretta J. Gudates, was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - YEARLY REPORT <br />A Report for the year 1963 was submitted by -the Building Department, <br />accepted by the Board and ordered placed on file. <br />
