�9 January 22, 1964 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, January 20, 1964 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( LOADING ZONE - MIAMI - BRINKS TRUCKS ) Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, Loading Zone signs with parking prohibited time limit from 4 to 6 P.M. daily were approved for installation in front of 2115 S. Miami Street. This will provide a loading and unloading for Brinks Express Trucks. TRAFFIC ENGINEER - OLIVE AND _SAMPLE STREET RAILROAD CROSSINGS A complaint from a resident, Mr. Hall, to the Board that the railroad crossings at Sample and Olive Streets are in bad condition was referred ° to Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, for investigation and report. POLICE DEPARTMENT - PROMOTION ( J. PECZKOWSKI ) Following the recommendation of the Chief of Police the'Board hereby approves the promotion of Patrolman John Peczkowski to the rank of Detective Sergeant, reporting to Inspector J. Horvath for assignment. The promotion is effective January 20, 1964. POLICE DEPARTMENT - RETIREMENT ( W. M. CHOLASINSKI ) Comes now Police Officer William M. Cholasinski, and requests that his application for retirement from the police Force be approved by the Board. Officer Cholasinski has been on the Police Force since August 22 1927. Request approved and retirement will become effective as of February 7 1964. POLICE DEPARTMENT ( JACKET APPROVED )' A letter from the Police Lodge Uniform Committee Secretary, together-. with a description of a new type nylon jacket which had been approved by the Police Chief and also by Mayor Lloyd Allen was unanimously approved by the Committee to compliment the uniform apparel and not to replace any item of the presently approved uniform. Following the above recommendations, the Board now approves the new type Jacket for the Police Department. POLICE DEPARTMENT: APPLICATION An application from Dean Russell Jester for the Police Department was accepted and ordered placed on file. SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS ( SHELLEY, GRIMMIUS Special Police Commissions for Dale Edward Shelley presently employed by the Electrical Inspection Department and Donald F. Grimmius, presently employed by the Sub -Standard Division of the Building Department were approved and ordered placed on file. POLICE AUX. SCHOOL PATROL APPLICATION An application for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol, submitted by Mrs. Loretta J. Gudates, was accepted and ordered placed on file. BUILDING DEPARTMENT - YEARLY REPORT A Report for the year 1963 was submitted by -the Building Department, accepted by the Board and ordered placed on file.
