The letter was referred to the Traffic Engineer for investigation. <br />The Board further requested Mr. Hazinski to get in touch with the <br />New Yori Central and Grand Trunk & Western Railroad concerning the <br />deterioration at this crossing, if necessary. <br />PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE: POLICE DEPARTMENT - ALTOMOBILES <br />Comes now Police Chief Harman and requests permission to advertise <br />for the following: <br />1. One Four Door Sedan, Standard 6 cyl. engine. <br />2. Five Four Door Sedans, Heavy duty V-8 engine, 289 cu. in. <br />and one Four Door Station Wagon, Heavy duty V-8 engine, 289 cu. in. <br />Permission granted and the Clerk of the Board was directed to place <br />advertisements in The South Bend Tribune and The Record on August 16, <br />August 23, 1963. Sealed bids will be opened on August 26, 1963 at <br />the meeting of the Board. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: DEMOTION DET. SGT. E. J. NAWROCKI� <br />Following the recommendation of Police Chief Harman, the Board approved <br />the demotion of Detective Sergeant Edward J. Nawrocki to the rank of <br />Patrolman, to remain in the Detective Bureau, effective Friday, <br />August 16, 1963. <br />SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSION AND BOND ( HHUGHIE E. NALL.Y Z <br />The Board approved the Police Commission and Bond for Hughie E. Nally, <br />726 Cleveland Ave., South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Nally is an employee <br />of the American District Telegraph Co., Inc. <br />APPLICATION:_POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />An application for the Police Department from Gerald Louis Jankowski <br />was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: INSTALLATION <br />Following the recommendation of Roger DeClercq, Assistant Superintendent <br />of the Electrical Department, the Board approved the installation of <br />a street light on Napier St. at the alley between Walnut and Chestnut. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURES MONTHLY REPORT <br />A Report from the Department of Weights & Measures for the month of <br />July, 1963 was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE <br />Mr. Stephen Molnar of the St. Joseph County Health Department was present <br />at the meeting, representing the Health Department. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meting was <br />adjourned at 11:15 A.M. �A1 <br />Cha irma n <br />Attest: Ant on J.
