Case continued for one week to allow sufficient time for acknowledgment <br />by Mr. Rightley. <br />DEMOLITION BIDS: <br />Mr. Grabarz advised the Board that the following bids had been <br />received for demolition of a structure located at 122 N. Studebaker <br />Street: <br />A & J. Demolition $365.00 with salvage <br />B & 0 Wrecking Co. $325.00 ° of <br />The bid,was awarded to B & 0 WreckingCCo. <br />RE: BICYCLE REGULATIONS <br />Following a question by Miss Virginia Guthrie concerning regulations <br />governing bicycless being ridden in residential areas and failing to <br />sound horns to warn pedestrians, the Board requested the Police <br />Department to investigate and enforce ordinances concerning sounding <br />of horns. <br />PERMISSION TO BARRICADE SIDEWALK LSCHUMACHER & S0 <br />Permission was granted Peter Schumacher & Sons, Inc., to barricade the <br />sidewalk at 303-305 S. Michigan Street and construct a street walk. <br />Said barricade will be effective from July 1, 1963 for a period of <br />5 weeks. Said barricade is necessary in order to make building <br />repairs. <br />The Parting Meter Department shall be notified that permission is <br />granted to Peter Schumacher & Sons, Inc., to, <br />park one truck at this <br />location, but it shall be closed to all other vehicles for parking <br />Purposes* <br />Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, will coordinate this matter. <br />PERMISSION TO OCCUPY ALLEY(OLIVER ANNEX) <br />Permission was granted H. G. Christman Construction Co., Inc., to <br />occupy the alley north of the Oliver Annex for a period to July 12, <br />1963. Said occupancy is required in order to make building repairs. <br />PETITION: ELECTRICAL DEPT- LST. LIGHTS) <br />A Petition from Lloyd Henderson and other residents in the area <br />requesting the installation of a street light in the alley at the rear <br />of 1112-1114 Franklin Street was referred to the Electrical Department <br />for investigation and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION <br />Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Electrical Department <br />Superintendent, the Board approved the following installation: <br />1 .4000 lumen street light at corner 'of 30th and Horne Ct. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURES MONTHLY REPORT <br />A Report from the Weights & Measures Department for the month of <br />May, 1963 was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />
