SUILDING DEPARTMENT: HEARINGS LSUB_STANDARD <br />Comes now John Grabarz,9irector of Sub -Standard Division of the Building <br />Department, and advises the Board that property located at 2220 W. Dunham <br />Street, owned by Mr. Hahn, is sub -standard and that no repairs have been <br />made, as directed. Mr. Hann failed to appear at the meeting on this <br />date, as directed. Instead, Mr. Grabarz advised the Board that he <br />telephoned. <br />The Board continued this hearing for 30 days. <br />'Comes now James Crawford, owner of property located at 105-07 N. O'Brien <br />Street to show cause why property has not bren brought up to standard. <br />Mr. Crawford stated that he intended to repair the property but needed <br />additional time. <br />Mr. Grabarz reported that the repair order had been issued in 1959. <br />Under these circumstances, the Soard ruled that the hearing be continued <br />until July 8, 1963 at which time the property must be brought up to <br />standard. <br />BIDS FOR DEMOLITION ( SUB`STANDARDk <br />Mr. Grabarz advised the Board that he had the following bids for demolition <br />of property owned by the Joseph and Helen Vida Estate and located at <br />1613 W. Ewing Avenue: <br />_wA & J Demolition Co._ $260.00 with salvage <br />290.00 without salvage <br />B & 0 Building and Wrecking Co. $325.00 with salvage <br />350.00 without salvage <br />lt--was the.decision of the Board that the Bid be awarded to the A & J <br />DemolitAn Co. <br />REQUEST: OCCUPY PUBLIC PROPERTY CHRISTMAN MNSTRUCFION OD.) <br />Comes now Mr. Ted Lewandowski of the Building Department and advises <br />the Board that Christman Construction Company had requested permission <br />to occupy public property which consists of a part of the sidewalk in <br />front of the DuComb Apartments (Oliver Annex) on North Main Street bpd <br />construct a canopy over the sidewalk for the protection of the general <br />public. <br />Permission granted. <br />PETITION: STREET LIGHTS <br />A Petition was submitted to the Board by residents on Bergan Street to <br />install a street light on Bergan, midway between Johnson and Hury Streets. <br />The Petition was referred to the Electrical Department for investigation <br />and recommendation. <br />INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS ( ELECFRICAL DEPARTMENT ) <br />Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, the following installations <br />were alproved: <br />1 - 4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />light <br />at <br />2515 S.
