before the Board to show cause why repairs had not been made, as <br />directed. <br />Since Mr. Overhold did not appear and did not send a representative. <br />the Board ruled that -the Sub -Standard Division shall proceed to <br />advertise for bids for demolition. <br />With reference to property located at 325 N. St. Louis Boulevard, <br />owned by Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Tarwacki, Mr. Grabarz informed the <br />Board that repairs to the property have not been completed. A - <br />list of repairs to be made wasesubmitted to the owners in 1961. <br />The Board ruled that hearing on this matter will,be continued for <br />two weeks. <br />With reference,to property located at 126 N. St. Louis Boulevard, <br />owned by Mrs. Jennie Cohen, Worche-ster, Mass., and or Mrs. Rae Sloan, <br />Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Grabarz informed the Board that repair. <br />orders have been ignored. Demolition orders have also been ignored. <br />After hearing Mr. Grabarz, the Board ruled that registered letters <br />be sent to the owners and also to Mr. Benjamin Piser, attorney, <br />representing the owners advising that unless appearance is made by <br />not later than April 29, 1963, condemnation will proceed.. <br />Case continued until April 29, 1963. <br />ASSOCIATES INVESTMENT COMPANY REQUEST: TRAFFIC LIGHT INSTALLATION <br />A letter from William F. Ryan, Assistant Vice President of the <br />Associates Investment Company, requested an installation of a <br />traffic light at the intersection of Gr"eenlawn and Mishawaka Avenue. <br />Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, informed the Board that his department -,- <br />has been making a study of this intersection to ascertain whether <br />a traffic signal is needed. <br />The Board requested Mr. Hazinski to continue hia studies and to <br />report his findings to the Board. <br />Mr. Hazinski was also requested to check the possibility of Ruskin <br />Street being made a one-way street from Esther Street to Greenhawn <br />Avenue. <br />STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS ( ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ) <br />Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Electrical Department <br />Superintendent, the following installations were approved: <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light in the 1600 Block N. Knoblock St. <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light in the 1700 Block N. Knoblock St. <br />PETITION: STREET LIGHT ( ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT } <br />A Petition from Mrs. Goldie Freeman and others in the area, request <br />the installation of a street light in the alley back of 1330 E. <br />Donald Street. <br />The Petition was referred to Nicholas Horvath, Electrical Department <br />Superintendent, for investigation and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />1 <br />[1 <br />
