TRAFFIC ENGINEERLTRAFFIC SIGNS <br />Following the recommendation of the <br />installations are approved: <br />Traffic Engineer, the following <br />No Parking This Side signs installed on north side of 200 block of <br />West Indiana from Lafayette to Pennsylvania railroad tracks. <br />No Parking On Sunday Morning signs installed on East Dayton. Street <br />in 1100 block on north side of street. <br />No Parking sign installed on Colfax Avenue, south-east corner of <br />Scott Street at end of yellow zone. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT KASPRZAK RETIREMENT <br />At the recommendation of the Chief of Police, the Board approved <br />the retirement of Captain John F. Kazprzak, effective May 19 1963. <br />The Board also approved his Terminal Leave commencing April 16, 1963 <br />and ending April 30, 1963. <br />Captain Kasprzak at the time of his retirement will have completed <br />21 years, 53 days on the Police Force or from March 9,_ 1942 to April <br />30, 1963, inclusive. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCIDENT REPORT) <br />A non -injury accident report from the Police Department was accepted <br />by the Board and ordered placed on file. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ATTEND MEETING <br />Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, was given permission to attend meetings <br />in Indianapolis to discuss matters concerning traffic with the State <br />Highway Commission at a time convenient to all parties concerned. <br />REQUEST: FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNUAL BALL <br />The Board approved the request of the Fire Department's Firemen's <br />Association to hold the annual ball on September 79 1963 at the <br />University of Notre Dame Stepan Centex. <br />REQUEST: REGISTRATION OF LITTLE LEAGUE FIRE STATION NO. 3 <br />The Board granted a request from the East Side Little League to hold <br />their registration in Fire Station No. 3, April 6 and 79 1963 between <br />the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 P.M. each day. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT ( VANWIELE - ATTEND ARSON SCHOOL ) <br />Permission was granted to Battalion Chief Oscar VanWiele to attend <br />the Arson School at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana from <br />April 22 to 26, 1963. <br />APPLICATION ( METER MAID, <br />An application from Mary Elizabath Madison for Meter Maid was accepted <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 10:45 A.M. <br />Attest: AAH9hny J.
