March 18, 1963 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />March 18, 1963 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes <br />of the last regular meeting and the special meeting were read and <br />approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various <br />suppliers. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION HEARINGS <br />Comes now James Ettl, attotney with reference to property located <br />at 1605 N. Sheridan, owned by Orville & Ruth Burkett, and requests <br />a continuance on this hearing for six months. <br />t was:. the decision of the Board to grant a continuaftee until <br />June'17, 1963. Condemnation order will be stayed until this date. <br />Mr.`Grabarz reported that property located at 601 E. Pennsylvania <br />Avenue represented b Mr. Miller Highland Cemetery Association <br />� P Y �� 9 Y , <br />remained a hazard. The property has not been boarded ub as ordered <br />by the Board. <br />After hearing Mr. Grabarz, it was the decision of the Board to revive <br />the Condemnation Order on said property. <br />Comes now Abraham Bradley with reference to property located at 1302 <br />S. Chapin Street. Mr. Bradley was given three months time to bring <br />property up to standard. <br />According to Mr. Grabarz this has rot been -done. <br />Mr. Bradley requested more time and suggested a two months extension. <br />After hearing all persons interested in this property, it was the <br />decision of the Board to allow Mr. Bradley until May 20, 1963 to bring <br />property up to standard in keeping with the stipulations of the <br />building code. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( HOUSE MOVE - SUNNYMEDE AVE.1 <br />With reference to the house move from 601 S. Eddy Street to 1107 <br />Swnnymede Avenue, Mr. Arthur Anderson appeared before the Board and <br />requested a continuance of two weeks in order to bring in an engineer <br />to inspect the dwelling to be moved. <br />Request granted. <br />RE: VACANT LOT AT MICHIGAN & LASALLE ( SHEEHAN ) <br />Comes now Thomas J. Sheehan with reference to a vacant lot at the corner <br />of Michigan Street and LaSalle Avenue, owned by Mr. Sheehan, Sr. <br />Mr. Sheehan informed the Board that the owner wished to clear and grade <br />this lot and that arrangemerts had been madd with Ham, the Wrecker and <br />in order to do this work Ham the Wrecker desired permission to drop a <br />well on the side facing LaSalle Avenue. Mr. Sheehan wished to do what- <br />ever is necessary to accomplish this work. <br />The Board directed that this matter be cleared with the Building <br />Commissioner as to what requirements are necessary. <br />PETITION: RE- SUPER AUrO SALVAGE_( EXTEND JUNK YARD <br />A Petition from Donald R.
