March 18, 1963 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, March 18, 1963 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last regular meeting and the special meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION HEARINGS Comes now James Ettl, attotney with reference to property located at 1605 N. Sheridan, owned by Orville & Ruth Burkett, and requests a continuance on this hearing for six months. t was:. the decision of the Board to grant a continuaftee until June'17, 1963. Condemnation order will be stayed until this date. Mr.`Grabarz reported that property located at 601 E. Pennsylvania Avenue represented b Mr. Miller Highland Cemetery Association � P Y �� 9 Y , remained a hazard. The property has not been boarded ub as ordered by the Board. After hearing Mr. Grabarz, it was the decision of the Board to revive the Condemnation Order on said property. Comes now Abraham Bradley with reference to property located at 1302 S. Chapin Street. Mr. Bradley was given three months time to bring property up to standard. According to Mr. Grabarz this has rot been -done. Mr. Bradley requested more time and suggested a two months extension. After hearing all persons interested in this property, it was the decision of the Board to allow Mr. Bradley until May 20, 1963 to bring property up to standard in keeping with the stipulations of the building code. BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( HOUSE MOVE - SUNNYMEDE AVE.1 With reference to the house move from 601 S. Eddy Street to 1107 Swnnymede Avenue, Mr. Arthur Anderson appeared before the Board and requested a continuance of two weeks in order to bring in an engineer to inspect the dwelling to be moved. Request granted. RE: VACANT LOT AT MICHIGAN & LASALLE ( SHEEHAN ) Comes now Thomas J. Sheehan with reference to a vacant lot at the corner of Michigan Street and LaSalle Avenue, owned by Mr. Sheehan, Sr. Mr. Sheehan informed the Board that the owner wished to clear and grade this lot and that arrangemerts had been madd with Ham, the Wrecker and in order to do this work Ham the Wrecker desired permission to drop a well on the side facing LaSalle Avenue. Mr. Sheehan wished to do what- ever is necessary to accomplish this work. The Board directed that this matter be cleared with the Building Commissioner as to what requirements are necessary.
