L] <br />1 <br />After hearing Chief Harman, it was the decision of the Board that <br />one 'Wiley Hoover in operating a pool room at 34031N. Washington Avenue <br />was maintaining gambling; that a rand was made and a plea of guilty <br />of such violation is now in court. Therefore, the license for operation <br />of this pool room is now revoked. <br />POLICE DEPARTENL ACCIDENT REPORTS <br />Two accident reports from the Police Department were examined and ordered <br />placed on file. <br />FIV£ MINUTE CAR WA LSAM COSSMAN LTRAFFIC ENGINEER <br />As the result of complaiNtsconcerning traffic tie-ups at Five Minute <br />Car Wash establishments owned by one Sam Cossman, the Traffic Engineer <br />was directed to work with Mr. Cossman to see that traffic problems do <br />not develop at the drive in lanes. <br />The Board was also advised that Mr. Cossman will hire of police <br />officers to assist in this problem and maintain order. <br />RRUEST: GILBERT'S__-_(PARKING METER TIME LIMIT CHA GE <br />A letter from Mr. Paul D. Gilbert, of Gilbert's Store, requested that <br />Parking Meters located between Sample and Tutt Streets on Michigan <br />Street be changed and be set for one additional hour than at present. <br />Mr. Gilbert contended that this would be helpful to people trading in <br />the area. <br />The matter was referred to Mr. Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, for <br />investigation and report. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT PETITION - STREET LIGHTS - ALTGELD AND IRONWOOD <br />A Petition from Mr. E. W. Fern and others residing on Ironwood Drive, <br />for additional street lights, was referred to the Electrical Department <br />for investigation and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS. <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />WEIGHTS L MEASURES MONTHLY REPORT <br />A Report for the month of January from the Department of Weights & <br />Measures was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT:_ATTEND CONFERENCE <br />Permission was granted to Fire Chief Alex Andrzejewski, Assistant Fire <br />Chief Carl B. Ledered, Captain Carl B. Martz, Jr. to attend the <br />Instructors' Conference in Memphis, Tennessee on February 25, 262 27 <br />and 28, 1963. <br />APPLICATION: FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />An application for the Fire Department from Robert Paul Dudeck was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />APPLICATION: POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />An application for the Police Department from John Charles Campbell was <br />accepted and pidered placed on file. <br />APPLICATION: AUXILIARY POLICE SCHOOL PATROL <br />An application from Helen Matilda Weeks for Police Auxiliary School <br />Patrol was accepted and ordered placed on file.,' <br />
