I= <br />PROPOSAL: STREET LIGHTING ON IRONWOOD BRIDGE ( I & M ) <br />The Board approved a proposed change in street lighting on Ironwood <br />Bridge submitted by the Indiana & Michigan.Electric Company. <br />According to this proposal the following changes will be wades <br />The Indiana & Michigan Electrical Company will replace four lights <br />at each end of the bridge with a 10,000 lumen overhead light. They <br />will also increase each of the two 2500 lumen underground lights in <br />the middle of the bridge with 6000 lumen lights. <br />These changes will afford better.lighting and result in a deduction <br />from $25.00 monthly to $16.309 or a saving to the City of $8.70 <br />monthly. <br />The above changes are the result of a recommendation of the Electrical <br />Department. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE ( POLICE DEPARTMENT CARS ) <br />Permission was granted to the Police Department to advertise for bids <br />for 5 - four door sedans and 1 - 4 door station wagon. Bids will be <br />opened on November 26, 1962 at 10:00 A.M. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT APPLICATION <br />An application for the Police Department from Julius Richard DeFreeuw <br />was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SPECIAL POLICE OOMMISSION <br />A Special Police Commission was approved by the Board for William F. <br />Demler. Mr. Demler is an employee of the South Pend Tribune. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BONDS ( TORRINGTON ) <br />The Board approved renewal of Bonds for Special Police officers Joseph <br />Pyclik and Andrew S.
