CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE ( FREEMAN -SPIN) <br />A Certificate of Insurance from Freeman -Spicer for Public Liability for <br />their premises at 520 S. Scott to be on leave from September <br />1, to September l6, 1962 in order to participate in Active Duty Training at <br />Battle Creek Federal Center, Battle Creek, Michigan. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT i ATTEND NARODTICS SCHOOL ) <br />Permission was granted to Lieutenant Melvin Pasalich and Detective Sergeant <br />Irvin C. Hampton to attend the Treasury Department Bureau of Narcotics <br />School in Washington,.D.C`from September 10, 1962 to September 22, 1962. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT ( LETTER OF PRAISE <br />A letter from Ray J. Lattimer, praising the Police Department for their <br />splendid.work in,an,attempted burglary at Krauser's was accepted by the <br />Board and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT .HOUSE MOVE ) <br />Permission was granted to.move a house from 309 W. Grove Street, Mishawaka, <br />Indiana to 815 S. Logan Street$ South Bend, Indiana. <br />The Board was informed by the Building Department that all necessary <br />affidavits have been received by the Department and the house has been <br />checked and a list_of the necessary repairs is on file in the Building <br />Department. <br />Permission to move this house is granted provided all necessary regulations <br />as set down by the Building Department are followed and necessary repairs . <br />are made. <br />The house is owned -by Floyd H. Jefferson Blvd. were <br />as follows: <br />B & 0 Wrecking Company <br />$175 with salvage $250 without <br />A & J Demolition Co. <br />250.00 with salvage <br />26th bids were awarded to B & 0 <br />Wrecking Company, with salvage. <br />SUB -STANDARD DIVISION f HEARING <br />) <br />John Grabarz informed the Board <br />that Mr. Joseph Binder, owner of property <br />located at 607 W. Wayne Street, <br />had been ordered to appear before the Board <br />to show cause why repair orders <br />for the property had not been carried out. <br />Since Mr. Binder did not appear <br />before the Board as directed, the Board <br />authorized Mr. Grabarz to proceed with demolishment orders and that Mr. <br />Binder should be notified of such intention. <br />
